Who We Are

Y4D is a youth-led organization run democratically by young people, for young people — based in Machakos, Kenya, with reach across the region.

Founded to inspire and equip marginalised children, youth, women and persons with disabilities, we provide necessary entrepreneurial and life skills for self-sustainability and independence.

Y4D transforms individuals, families, and communities so they can thrive and prosper in society through active participation in cutting-edge development programs.

2019

Foundation

Established as a volunteer movement of young people in Machakos driven by a shared vision for community change.

2020

Official Registration

Y4D received official registration (KDO/CBO/019/142), formalizing our democratic structure and volunteer framework.

2022

Strategic Expansion

Expanded into Smart Agriculture and Climate Change initiatives, establishing our presence as a regional youth leader.
